Very few vehicles have the bragging right that they could be a V-6 family sedan or a muscle car to drag race with. The Dodge Charger can say both.

The idea of the Dodge Charger came about in 1964 as a show car and was released in 1966. High demand from the start, the Dodge Charger is a “pony car, that can also be used as a family sedan. Spawning famous Dodge names such as the Daytona, the Dodge Charger took off with Scat Pack and HellCat engines in their top trim models. With many vehicles equipped with Dodge’s famous HEMI’s, the Dodge Charger is a BOSS. If you’re looking for a car with style and performance, the Dodge Charger is sure to be a people pleaser. With multiple five-star ratings in terms of safety and features, the Dodge Charger has taken Charge and won’t back down.

After a small break and in its second generation, the Dodge Charger came back in the early 1980’s as a subcompact coupe. This type of car was comparable to the then Dodge Omni 024 but had a much larger engine. Armed with five-speed manual or three-speed automatic, the Dodge Charger had turbo versions available as well.

Reintroduced in 2005 for the 2006 model year, the design had grandiose ideas of nostalgia; comparing their new models to the models of the 1960’s and 1970’s, the taillights were reminiscent of that era, as well has having V6 and V8 engine options available and all-wheel drive.

The Dodge Charger is in its seventh generation of awesomeness and we can’t seem to get enough. With sales consistently on the high end, it doesn’t look like the Dodge Charger is going anywhere anytime soon.

Current trim levels with the Dodge Charger include the Dodge Charger SXT, the Dodge Charger GT, the Dodge Charger R/T, the Dodge Charger Scat Pack, and the Dodge Charger SRT HellCat. New in 2025, the Dodge Charger has reintroduced the Charger Daytona! The Dodge Charger Daytona R/T is an entry-level trim, offering a combined 456 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque from its electric motors. The Dodge Daytona Scat Pack cranks up the performance with 630 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. It also features a Drag mode that provides the full 670 horsepower. With many of the trim models having the capability to have a HEMI engine, the Dodge Charger can make anyone happy.
