At Schmit Bros, we're always happy to help our customers, who become friends, as well as our neighbors get the most out of their money and the vehicles they purchase from us. One way is by letting them know how to keep their cars in pristine condition. Of course, we're talking about routine maintenance that can actually help you keep your vehicle running smoothly and lasting throughout the years as well as increasing a trade in value if you do so in the future.

We're about to give you some important details to help you understand the many different services that your vehicle requires over its lifespan. We're also going to list the many services and tell you about the best times to have them performed.

You don't have to be one of our certified technicians to understand the different services that your vehicle needs. Your maintenance schedule is broken down into 10,000-mile intervals, and each interval comes with a variety of services. While most of these services are simply repeated, there are a few new ones that pop up sporadically. Now that you know how your maintenance schedule is structured, you're ready to learn all about the many services that can help your vehicle last as long as possible, as well as increasing the value when you decide to trade in and upgrade.

-10,000 Miles- At your first service interval, you'll want to have your oil change and your oil filter replaced. In order to keep your tires lasting, you'll want to have them rotated to help even out their wear. You'll also need a few inspections, including the cooling system, exhaust system, braking system, and suspension joints, drive-shafts, and steering linkage.

-20,000 Miles- Along with all of the previously listed services, the 20,000-mile interval adds a cabin air filter replacement to this list.

-30,000 Miles- This service interval introduces the engine air filter replacement, which will occur next at 60,000 miles.

-100,000 Miles- This may seem like a huge jump, but everything up until 100,000 miles is just repeated services that are already listed. However, during this visit, you'll need to have your platinum spark plugs replaced and your orange coolant changed out. On top of the many inspections, you'll now add an accessory drive belt inspection that will need to occur every 10,000 miles.

-150,000 Miles- This is the big one! On top of the service you've already had performed on your vehicle, there are still some new ones to add to the list. You're going to have to change out your accessory drive belt if you haven't done so already. You'll also need to replace your automatic transmission fluid as well as your timing belt.

Now that you know about the different services your vehicle needs, you're ready to have it perform like new and last throughout the years you own the car, or increase your trade in value. You can always count on Schmit Bros for help. We'd love to help you get the most out of your vehicle.
