When’s the last time you took a close look at the bed of your RAM 1500? Chances are good that’s it’s pretty dirty.

If you don’t have a cover for it, always being exposed to the elements can create a grimy situation. To give it a good spring cleaning, just follow these tips!

Take Out Any Stuff

If you have anything in the bed, the first step is to take it out. This will also give you a good opportunity to throw away any garbage or remove things that don’t need to be in there anymore.

Get Sweeping

Now, you’ll want to find a broom so you can sweep out the dirt, sticks, rocks, and whatever else has accumulated.

Spray It Down

The next step is to turn on your hose in order to get into the corners the broom couldn’t. The best way to do this is to start at the back window and work towards the tailgate, using a side-to-side motion. Be sure that the tailgate is open so that the dirty water flows out.

Wash the Liner

Now it’s time to get washing. You don’t want to use just anything to wash your bed, however, as things like dish soap can hurt the liner. Get cleaning products specifically for vehicles and soap up every inch.

Rinse and Dry

Once you’ve gotten into every nook and cranny, turn the hose on again and start rinsing. Again, start from the front and work backwards. After the soap is rinsed, you can use a cloth to dry the bed or just let it sit in the sun.
